Job Description:
Working from customer prints and specifications, the Cost Estimator evaluates products for relevancy with our capabilities and prepares an operational process structure cost estimate to the sales department. Eligible candidates must also provide an estimate of the required tools and fixtures to manufacture the part. This position requires the ability to enter information into an ERP system and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The ability to use AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus as is working with minimal supervision.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or/and minimum five years’ experience.
In depth knowledge of aircraft gear and housing manufacturing processes or similar precision part manufacturing is required. Working knowledge of special processes such as NDT, heat treating, plating, coatings, painting and shot peening is necessary. Aerospace marketplace knowledge preferred.
