Early Learning Specialist
(Parent Child Home Program)
Provide literacy based culturally competent home-based services to low-income families with toddlers and preschool age children. Plan and conduct twice-weekly home visits with families to promote early literacy, school readiness skills, and nurturing parent-child interactions. Complete developmental screenings and parent-child interaction assessments.
Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Studies or related field preferred. Minimum of High School Diploma with experience working with culturally and socio-economically diverse families needed. Experience working with toddlers and preschool age children needed. Experience with home visiting preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle to be used for home visiting. Must have effective interpersonal skills and effective oral & written communication skills.
