Pay Rate: Hourly, based on experience

Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician works across the entire facility performing preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks with maximum efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as working collaboratively with the maintenance team, and all departments throughout the brewery. Primary tasks include troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of all production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with filling lines involving carbonated liquids and working on a packaging line; as well as working knowledge of industrial equipment. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, and an impeccable eye to detail along with a high level of cleanliness are all required. The Maintenance Technician must supply their own hand tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintains all safety standards and teaches those good habits to all co-workers.
· Follows a safety-first culture focusing on proper PPE and executing Lockout-Tagout procedures when working on all equipment.
· Works extensively with four filling lines (kegs, bottles and cans) as well as other packaging equipment including case erector, case packer, depalletizer and palletizer, and ensures maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
· Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment in all areas of the facility, including brewhouse, cellar, boilers, HVAC, glycol chillers as well as building and grounds maintenance.
· Follow a detailed preventive maintenance program and do routine visual inspections on all equipment.
· Repairs or replaces a wide variety of electrical components, including motors, VFD’s, contactors, motor starters, push buttons and associated equipment.
· Has an understanding of plumbing principles and is able to perform plumbing tasks.
· Operates a wide range of power and hand tools including grinder, drill, milling machine, lathe, saw, welder as well as other metal and wood working equipment.
· Operates scissor lifts and forklifts.
· Learns new systems, techniques and technologies.
· Writes detailed repair reports at the end of each shift.
· Cross-trains members of the brewing, packaging, logistics and lab teams to follow optimal process procedures to maintain equipment while running.
Requirements
Skills, Attributes and Other Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of two years-experience maintaining and repairing production equipment, including experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repaid.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
· PLC experience, Siemens, Allen Bradley is preferred.
· Understanding of HVAC concepts and components.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to write detailed repair reports.
· Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office.
· The Maintenance Technician must supply their own hand tools.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand, walk, crawl, squat/crouch, twist, bend and grasp and lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must to lift, carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet.
· Ability to work in confined spaces.
· Ability to lift, move and maneuver large, heavy and awkward objects with a team.

Work Environment:
Tröegs Brewing Company is a climate–controlled brewing and packaging facility. The following is a representative list of what a co-worker might encounter during a typical work day:

· Loud working areas
Co-workers regularly handle hazardous materials and regularly come in contact with broken glass and wet floors while working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Work Schedule:
· 40-hour minimum work week, with extended hours as required.
· Some weekend work as necessary.
