EDI Analyst

Major Responsibilities

The EDI (electronic data interchange) analyst deals with the electronic data exchange between various vendors including carrier and payroll companies. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining existing EDI connections along with new and successful connections as they are onboarded. The EDI Analyst will work independently and be responsible for all EDI Connections and project management of each EDI as assigned by supervisor and or client.



Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, report and document in conjunction with Project Managers and Data Configuration Analyst for delivery and confirmation of Open Enrollment and Perpetual EDI files based on effective date for each group
  • Developing and executing various test plans which would further demonstrate the proficient usage of the benefit administration system
  • Provide technical support during and after implementation for EDI File Feeds including but not limited to discrepancy research/resolution, addressing issues with scheduled tasks that are out of sync, or file transferal accuracy
  • Responsible for importing, validating and reporting data into database or exporting data from the database into appropriate reporting formats to support business processes and carrier requirements

Professional Qualifications

Knowledge - level of education required, special certifications or licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
