What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gate Access Supervisor position at Troon?
Champions Gate is a gated community with over 3000 homes, including both full-time country club residents and short-term rental vacation homes. There are five 24/7 manned gate houses and eight remote gates that control entry to the property. This important position will be responsible for overseeing all gate access and coordinating with the security contractor to manage the onsite guards. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in safety, security, law enforcement or a related field, plus the ability to solve complex problems and lead others to accomplish team objectives. Reporting to the Community Association Manager, key responsibilities will include:
- Establish and enforce HOA security protocols and policies. Balance guest services etiquette that efficiently welcomes residents and registered visitors, while leveraging first line of defense and conflict resolution tools to restrict unauthorized entry.
- Partner with the Security Contractor to hire qualified employees, provide appropriate training, and maintain staffing levels that adjust for high traffic weekends and holidays.
- Coordinate operations support with local law enforcement agencies, and investigate violations through in-person interviews and video surveillance, immediately reporting incidents to CAM/BOD as needed.
- Manage, maintain, and optimize security systems and technology, including gate access control equipment, network equipment, video surveillance cameras, and bar code scanners.
- Proactively conduct on-going property tours and inspections with vulnerability assessments and penetration tests. Provide security briefs that identify potential threats and recommend solutions to reduce breaches.
- Capture KPI data to develop an information dashboard and vendor scorecard. Analyze trends and implement improvements to better protect community assets and increase gate access effectiveness.
This position will often cover night and weekend shifts with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Applicants must be at least 21 years old with valid drivers license.
