What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Staff position at Tropical Soup Group?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Hiring support staff at Caroline's and the Waterfront Brewery.
Support staff provide friendly and efficient service to guests according to the company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. Maximize guest satisfaction and a quality team work environment as directed by the General Manager or Manager on Duty. They will typically be hosting or food running.
COMPENSATION:
Support staff are compensated with $11 hourly plus a generous tip in from our tip pool.
POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS:
- Reports to work well groomed, in proper and clean uniform; practices good personal hygiene
- Greets guests with welcoming greeting and introducing yourself
- Seats guests, offers menus; walks at guests's pace
- Manage wait list
- Keeps host area clean and welcoming
- Ensure tables and menus are clean and sanitary
- Run food to tables as needed, garnish plates before leaving the kitchen
- Acts as the delivery coordinator or expo as needed
- Communicates with manager and server regarding large parties being sat
- Communicates with guests upon departure to verify guest satisfaction
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work full shift without breaks except for restroom
- Must have a high level of mobility/flexibility
- Must be able to communicate with guests
- Requires reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 30lbs
- Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, odors and weather
- Requires continual standing and walking
