Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Accurately and efficiently perform the daily Title 31/AML audit utilizing cash tracking software and all available casino information to ensure complete, property-wide adherence.
  • Acts as the property BSA Compliance Officer.
  • Review and research casino documentation for transactions that may result in the filing of SARs.
  • Prepare CTRs and SARs for review and timely filing.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records and provide support to the Regional Compliance Manager.
  • Periodically audit events and procedures to ensure compliance with Title 31 and internal controls.
  • Investigate and assist in resolving issues of compliance for all areas of the casino.
  • Assists in reviewing processes and procedures to determine where improvement may be needed and effectiveness related to regulatory standards, including Title 31, SOX and NGCB.
  • Assist in development of related internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform various audits as required by NGCB and other regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in monitoring employee compliance training programs.
  • Liaise as necessary with Internal/External Auditors, IRS, NGCB, and any regulatory personnel to ensure a courteous and professional relationship.
  • Responsible for supporting compliance to departmental budgets.
  • Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document transactions.
  • Assists in the compilation of reports for Nevada Gaming Control Board
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations within the area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED. one or more years’ experience in compliance or governmental affairs preferred; Casino experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Must have knowledge of cash tracking software, Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering and Nevada Gaming regulations
  • Must have knowledge of Casino Operations software and equipment.
  • Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess exceptional investigative skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, and colleagues and resolve problems in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job will have no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
