Troy Design and Manufacturing is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. At TDM, we use 21st Century manufacturing processes such as 3D design and printing, laser cutting, and automation for prototype and low volume manufacturing of components of current and future Ford vehicles. PRIMARY PURPOSE:
With minimal supervision PMA (Program Management Analyst) is responsible for providing specialized support in the area of Dimensional Control and/or Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA). Also, provides analysis and solutions to problems relating to their area of expertise. The PMA applies their expertise in Dimensional Control or DVA, to support the organization’s vision and strategic direction.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support/Lead new model vehicle programs with development of Datums, Measurement Points, or DVA models to dept. standards.
- Collaborate with various team members and associates, including end-users, project managers, engineers, and senior staff members
- Train and mentor fellow employees in areas of experience (e.g. Dimensional Control, DVA, Product Development)
- Assists in the development of new process and new software utilized by the Dimensional Control/DVA teams.
- Provides guidance and generates ideas to resolve organizational needs
- Actively participates in multiple workgroups at one time and disseminating information across all levels of the organization
- Ensures customer satisfaction levels meet or exceed expectations.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure a timely and quality delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering Field or 5 years’ experience in work directly related to subject matter of assignment (Dim. Control or DVA)
- High level of communication; excellent written and verbal skills required.
- High level of experience with problem solving tools and demonstrated skills
- Experienced in Automotive processes, procedures, standards, and practices.
- Moderate knowledge of Fixtures, GD&T, and Metrology devices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Offices products.
PREFERRED:
- The minimum requirements; in addition to the listed items.
- Moderate knowledge of TDM's current CAD platform, data management system
- Ten years directly related employment experience.
