Medical Biller

```Overview```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This position requires a strong understanding of medical coding systems and terminology, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

```Responsibilities```
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for billing purposes
- Utilize knowledge of medical coding systems, such as ICD-10, to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as necessary
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation of services rendered
- Assist with medical collection efforts when necessary

```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10
- Experience with medical billing software/systems preferably Allscripts/Veradigm
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
