We are looking to hire a Sourcing Specialist for our manufacturing facility in the Charleston / Summerville, SC area. This is a full time , permanent placement position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support site related procurement tasks relating to localization, production relocation, vertical integration, new product introductions, cost reduction initiatives, etc.
Identify direct material and total product cost reduction opportunities across new and existing parts.
Support cost analysis and supplier decisions by creating reports that reflect full landed cost details.
Assure procurement of tooling, prototypes, initial samples, and parts for new industrial truck projects under the precondition of time, quality and cost targets.
Part tracking and reporting with appropriate software (EWT)
Coordinate early supplier involvement within product development process
Responsible for new supplier data management (SAP) and integration with materials planning team
Prepare Milestone meeting data for procurement related tasks and align with SC Management.
Support continuous improvement and consistent use of KNA processes; EC-Concept, RFQ, etc.
Ensure procurement site efficiency by collaborating with local stakeholder and their expectations.
Follow KION supplier quality standard in coordination with Quality department
Exchange and align with other projects to ensure maximum synergy.
Preparation of input required for new part tender packages (drawings, specifications, forecasts, etc.)
Ensure compliance of project related sourcing initiatives with the KION procurement policy
Education and Qualifications:
BS/BA in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent
5 years of purchasing experience, ideally in industrial equipment manufacturing or automotive
Excellent project management, communication and organizational skills
Proficient decision making and analytical problem-solving skills
Experienced in supplier negotiation strategies
Understanding of engineering, quality, and manufacturing processes
Ability to travel
Excellent skills with MS Office; SAP knowledge and MS Project preferred

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
