Objective
The role of the Asset Management Intern is to support the operations and Asset Management teams through a paid internship. The intern will assist in the execution of strategic business plans, contributing to the overall success of the team. This may include tasks such as conducting market research, analyzing financial data, and assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations. The internship provides an opportunity for professional growth and development, as well as exposure to the real estate and investment industries.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Maintain and update portfolio rollups in MS Excel.
- Prepare financial reporting packages and presentation material for senior management, partners, and third-party clients on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis.
- Track, analyze, and forecast trends in financial performance and business plan execution.
Performance Analysis
- Review weekly operational reports and monitor and report on operational performance.
- Collect and organize data, analyze trends and locate areas of improvement.
- Track and forecast capital projects including unit renovations against the business plan.
- Communicate new policies to operating partners, as directed.
Investor Relations
- Prepare investor reports and respond to inbound inquiries, as directed.
Special Projects and Duties
- Assist the Asset Manager with disposition and refinance requests across the portfolio.
- Coordinate lender requests with operations teams.
Complete Special Projects and additional duties as assigned.

Compensation
The hourly range for the role is $25 - $30 an hour.
