SYSTEMS ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the system engineering group (both LCM and NPI related projects).
• Work with market leaders of Body and Trailer markets to develop application development projects; to gain standardization of harness business key customers.
• Develop and lead harness productivity projects.
• Act as the lead customer representative for the system’s group; requiring customer visits, presentations, harness trials, and other items as needed.
• Technical support supervisor.
• Use CAD to design wiring harness for trailers and bodies.
• Use CAD to revise existing harness designs to current engineering standards.
• Develop working knowledge of Truck-Lite products to support customer technical needs.
• Assist sales personnel in technical expertise to support customer needs.
• Use NPI guidelines to deliver harness projects on time and at the best possible price.
• Develop and evaluate new harness designs and concepts to meet customer needs.
• Harness Core Team Leader.
• Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Project management/supervision experience; including strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, conflict management, reliability, people skills, responsibility, well organized, commitment, teamwork, work under pressure, results oriented, attention to detail and quality performance.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 2D drafting experience. 3D drafting experience is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite.
• Proficient with Microsoft project.
