What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi Local Intermodal Driver position at Trucker Time Xpress?
Time off / shift:
- Monday - Friday
- Start time on Day 1 will be early am.
- Drivers will get home at least 1 day during the week (possibly 2 depending on the load) in addition to 34 hours up to 48 hours of their off time.
- The 6th day of work is optional to the driver but requires a 34 hour reset before returning to work. Account does not run on re-cap hours.
- This is both night and daytime driving to customers that are open 24/7.
Position details:
- Semi Local drivers will move rail containers from the North Baltimore, OH BNSF/CSX rail ramp to various customers in a 400-mile radius. This will include loads in/out of the Cincinnati, OH NS Rail Yard, Lockbourne, OH NS Rail Yard, the Toledo NS Rail yard, the Cleveland, OH CSX Rail Yard and the Maple Heights, OH NS Rail Yard. This will also include customers mainly in all of Ohio and some parts of KY, WV, IN and MI.
- 75% Drop and Hook.
- Driver might be eligible to take the truck home, this will be up to local management. The driver must have a safe/secure location to park the tractor.
- There must be customers in the 20 mile vicinity of their home address with a load to get them home.
Additional details:
- No touch freight.
- Passengers are not permitted.
Special requirements:
- Driver needs to get their hazmat endorsement within 60 days, cost is reimbursed
