IT Project Manager
The IT Project Manager requires a great breadth of technical knowledge, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization, including reporting status of projects to upper level management. This position works under minimal supervision on complex projects requiring a great deal of organization. Must be able to work on multiple projects and work through the project lifecycles from beginning to end.
What you will do:
- Use project management expertise, technical knowledge, and professional skills to lead all aspects of IT projects
- Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met
- Ensure that technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Provide strategic consultation and business process analysis during solution design
- Provide individual and team task prioritization assistance
- Define and manage resources, budget, project plans, scope, and issues for multiple projects to ensure overall financial health
Key Areas of Focus:
- Project Management
- Provide project planning and tracking. Coordinate schedules with project members and end users / customers.
- Refine initial budget to align with final project scope and manage project efforts accordingly
- Create and present project status reports monthly at executive steering committee meetings
- Communication
- Maintain professional presence in all communications with project team and vendors
- Hold regular status meetings with project team
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Administration
- Proactively seek project assignments to achieve or exceed target realization
- Assist engagement Director with resource capacity management to achieve defined realization goals
- Attend project planning, departmental and company meetings
- Take and publish meeting notes
- Assign, monitor and track tasks assigned to team members
- Ensure T&E reports for consultants are approved and processed on time
- Professional Development
- Complete additional training as needed to maintain proficiency as listed in the above key result areas
- Demonstrate and expand upon domain expertise
- Provide mentorship and training to other TrueCommerce team members
The experience we are looking for:
- 3 years experience in project management
- Experience leading total life cycle management, owning the projects
- Understanding of IT/MIS business processes
- Understanding of ERP Systems (NetSuite) preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills across all levels of the organization
- Must be able to work EST time zone work hours
Industry Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field (Preferred) or equivalent experience
- PMP Certificate (Preferred)
