Jr. Software Development Intern - Casper, Wyoming

Summary

This is a fulltime or partime internship position that will be responsible for providing support to our software, research and development, and operations teams with projects related to leak detection on oil and produced water pipelines. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Performing research necessary to assist in solving various problems or exploring opportunities identified by the team
• Performing regular and ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner
• Assisting in requirements development
• Assisting with software testing and validation, testing new features and occasional debugging
• Creating documentation of software functionality, user instructions, etc.
• Product research analyses and reports as necessary
• Attending occasional meetings in person or via telecommunication.
• Producing a capstone project summary or presentation at the completion of the internship.

Qualifications

• A current or entering college student majoring in a STEM field
• Advanced mathematical skills and analytical capabilities
• Knowledge of and experience with compiling and synthesizing data.
• English language fluency; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, regulations and detailed instructions.
• Experience with or exposure to pipeline systems or field data a plus
• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Benefits

This is a paid internship position. Office hours are typically Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This position is in the Casper office.
