Summary:
The Public Relations Manager will create a media relations strategy, lead all public relations activities to increase local and global brand awareness for multiple brands, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize messaging reach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a non-traditional communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
Develop and execute media relations strategy, seeking local, national, global and/or high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
Create all public relations assets, including press releases, interview preparation and media alerts
Maintain a PR calendar for each brand
Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a regular basis
PR tracking and audit
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
Manage media inquiries and interview requests
Maintain a keen understand of industry trends and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy
Supports social media efforts with strategy messaging
Other duties as may be assigned
Requirements/Skills/Knowledge:
7 years in public relations, working with emerging brands
Creative and able to think outside the box
Proactive and searches out opportunities to increase brand awareness
Superior, world class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills
Ability to tell stories through words and images in both traditional and new media formats
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to meet tight deadlines as necessary
Dedication to high quality service delivery and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
