Job Summary:
This position responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the Inventory Control functions, which includes performing cycle counts of the warehouse inventory, conducting investigations of suspected out-of-balance items and making corrections to the inventory based upon that research, coordinating all special processing of inventory including return to vendor shipments and performing other related tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain, develop, and implement procedures that ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy are achieved while minimizing the amount of shrink incurred
- Review daily inventory reports for possible errors and reports information to Finance, Operations, and Merchandise departments
- Prepares inventory valuation reports.
- Prepares information for outside auditors.
- Measure and report on KPIs related to inventory management. Work cross functionally to communicate root causes for discrepancies and to develop solutions for lower DSOs
- Organize and facilitate shrink meetings and identify the root causes for shrink
- Work with buyers on product that are being over ordered or shorted
- Manage the Product Recall process
- Needs to be proficient in Excel.
- Manage the inventory control, driver check-in and quality assurance functions effectively and directs staff to identify and resolve variance, and potential variances, to achieve an accurate perpetual inventory count and protect company assets
- Understands, utilizes, and seeks continuous improvements in the use of all Operations information
· of the company as necessary and provides Operations information and reports as requested.
· Collaborates with the Transportation Department and the Inbound and Outbound Warehouse management staff to maximize productivity.
· Provide project management support and thought leadership for cross-functional objectives
· Performs management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations if required.
· Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge and skills:
· Thorough understanding of Material Handling, Supply Chain and Logistics processes
· 3 year of experience in inventory control/warehousing.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex requests, and resolve issues creatively
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and implement team projects
· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are required, Advanced Excel skills preferred
· GAAP Knowledge.
· Effectively speak with groups of employees across the organization
· Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Strong PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Database concepts.
· Experience in powered equipment (Order Picker, Electric Pallet Jack) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
