What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator/ permit & Plans processor position at True North Compliance Services, Inc.?
Office Support Staff:
We are looking for a full time project coordinator staff to handle incoming and outgoing workload in the office. The workload consists of of high volume of construction drawings/plans that needs to be entered into computer tracking software; enter project data and due dates; assign projects to appropriate staff; follow up on status; monitor projects progress; send reminders of due dates; communicate with clients; email correspondence; maintain communications with applicants; respond to inquiries about projects from applicants; ship and receive drawings and other documents, scan drawings and documents; high volume of computer entry; prepare invoices. May need to work at a public agency offices periodically.
Desirable: Can read blueprints; can do basic mathematical calculations; some familiarity with construction techniques; materials and terms; very comfortable with computers and typical business applications
Reliable, self starter, independent, quick learner, energetic, pleasant personality, works well under pressure.
The job is ideal for someone with a 2-year degree in architecture or construction technology, or someone who has experience submitting/processing construction permits with local cities. We will provide on the job-training.
