Position Overview
As a VMware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware environments for our healthcare clients. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of virtualized systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support to ensure their IT infrastructure operates seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter and related technologies.
- Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patch management of VMware infrastructure, including addressing CVEs.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of virtual environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to VMware environments, both remotely and on-site.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions using VMware technologies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and security standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Document processes, configurations, and procedures to maintain comprehensive knowledge bases.
- Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on VMware best practices.
- Stay current with VMware trends, updates, and best practices to continuously improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with VMware technologies in a professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related technologies.
- Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, and Horizon is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in network and storage technologies as they relate to VMware environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Puts you ahead of the pack
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification advanced certifications (VCAP, VCDX) are a plus.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry or with healthcare clients is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT regulations and security standards (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.

Candidates can expect to participate in at least three interview rounds, with one specifically designed to assess their technical abilities and expertise.
