POSITION SUMMARY The IT Functional Analyst reports to the IT Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager, is a member of the IT department, and will focus on supporting the ERP system and other business applications.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ·        Responsible for aligning technical and functional solutions to the product roadmap ·        Serves as a functional expert within area of assignment, providing guidance and direction to other professional staff and resolving complex problems; participates in developing strategic plans for systems/applications development and modification within area of expertise. ·        Provides a proactive interface for project stakeholders and senior management teams to ensure business requirements are completely and accurately defined. ·        Conducts preliminary investigations for all project requests ·        Writes business cases and elicits requirements ·        Works with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requests by overseeing and managing lead requirements, solution design, feature development, and user acceptance testing. ·        Partner with cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization. ·        Act as a liaison between business and technical teams and translate technical and business designs and requirements. ·        Promotes an environment that values mutual respect, transparency, and encourages others to think “Outside the Box" ·        Performs project evaluations and participates in post-project quality monitoring. ·        Performs change management ·        Prepares complex reports, correspondence, and other documents; participates on committees and task forces. ·        Works cohesively within the IT department to ensure information of the systems and all associated activities are captured in the appropriate IT knowledge repository systems. ·        Designs solutions and resolves issues in a time sensitive manner to support business stakeholders. ·        Manages relationships and provides positive primary point of contact with business partners. ·        Makes recommendations to enhance the departments’ contribution to the company. ·        Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and accomplishing related results as needed. ·        Interprets the business needs of the company and creates functional solutions to solve problems and demonstrate proactivity and strong teamwork skills. ​ SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS ·        Supports ongoing quarterly release regression testing, and bug fixes and enhancement documentation including Requests for Change (RFC). ·        Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.   KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS The IT Functional Analyst will work closely with all employees and will require demonstration of strong competency and exemplary trustworthiness. The incumbent will coordinate with other members of the company including the leadership team such as Vice Presidents and Department Managers. The incumbent must be respectful of individuals of different cultural differences and personalities. This position will also interact with contractors on an occasional basis.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ·        Bachelor’s (BS) degree in business management, computer science, data analysis, information systems or equivalent experience.  ·        Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in key functions listed above; with focus on active participation on software development team, software implementation, business analysis, and process design. ·        Expertise in process improvement tools and outputs. ·        Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ·        Advanced PC software skills, particularly advanced MS Office and process flow tools. ·        Familiarity with Software Development. ·        Understanding of Project Management methodologies and best practices. ·        Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. ·        Demonstrated leadership through influence. ·        Laser focus on what needs to be completed when to keep on track. ·        Ability to look ahead anticipating issues before they become problems. ·        Using experience to filter the noise and identify the backbone of what is needed for success. ·        Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and driven to meet deadlines. ·        Strong oral and written communication skills. ·        Strong customer service skills. ·        Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. ·        Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability. ·        Ability to identify issues, analyze options, and recommend a course of action to diverse audience. ·        Remain positive and energetic while meeting project deadlines. ·        Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision. ·        Good presentation skills; ability to facilitate training and present information to diverse audience. ·        Must enjoy a dynamic environment and be able to remain flexible and manage multiple priorities. ·        Familiarity with the maritime and/or transportation industries, desired but not required.
