JOB DESCRIPTION
INVENTORY RECEIVER - IR
Summary
Receiving, unloading, and maintaining an organized secure area of inventory product and deploy as directed by Inventory Manager. Data entry, utilization of hand and power tools, and forklift operation required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reports to Inventory Division Manger
- Receive, unload, and check in freight
- Responsible for reporting as required by Inventory Manger
- Be able to unload, handle, and maneuver materials of all shapes and sizes
- Be able to execute minor assembly work
- Be able to organize and label thousands of items in an area
- Work with Inventory Manager on module kitting
- Oversee and lead temporary help when needed
- Model professional behavior always.
- Ability to understand and communicate information is essential.
- Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to work.
- Must have reliable transportation for local projects.
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Work flexible schedule that may include overtime, nights, and weekends.
- Observe safety and security procedures as applicable and report potentially unsafe conditions to management.
- Wear personnel protective equipment (PPE) always.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- High availability to travel. Up to 100% travel required within the United States
- Adhere to company safety, travel, and lodging policy.
Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or equivalency
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to read, write, listen, and speak fluent English
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the assignment
- Ability to work independently to accomplish daily tasks
- Work effectively in team environment and provide support and assistance where needed.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Hold certification to operate a forklift or be willing to go through certification process.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel preferred.
- Experience with data entry and email communication preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- OSHA 10 Required
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequently required to walk a long distance, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop or kneel.
- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds or more on occasion.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
- May be exposed to extreme heat or cold depending on the location and phase of the project.
- Must be able to work 12 hours on occasion
