What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEAM LEAD OFFICE position at True Value?

The Office Team Lead performs a variety of general clerical and administrative duties to assist department, supervisors and managers. They may lead Office Clerks that coordinates the administrative activities of an office and evaluates production and devises alternative methods to improve workflow.

Scheduled Days/ Hours:  Monday through Friday      8am to 4:30pm

Hourly Rate Range:   $21.00 to $24.00 *** based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

1.   Oversees incoming and outgoing correspondence, post, mail and packages; organizes special mailings.

2.   Coordinates the receipt, storage and issuance of stationery and office supplies; oversees periodic inventories and reorders items, as required.

3.   Acts as the first point of contact for internal facilities issues and logs all maintenance, cleaning and office/location services and refers related issues to the appropriate personnel; negotiates contracts for services such as cleaning and maintenance.

4.   Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience.

5.   Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

6.   Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions

7.   May generate labels, scan files, compile and arrange data, make standard computations, document and maintain orderly records and files.

8.   Answers telephone calls, handles inquiries and transfers call to appropriate party.

9.   Operates general office equipment such as computer, copier, calculator, fax or other similar machines.

10. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Education & Experience:


•        High School Diploma or equivalent.


•        3-5 years of experience, preferably in an office environment.


•        Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
