The Opportunity:
We are seeking a senior leader for TrueCar Marketing Solutions (TCMS). In this position reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of all aspects of TrueCar Marketing Solutions including revenue, costs, resources, martech stack, products, and execution. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic thinking and planning, leadership, sales and marketing expertise to develop and execute effective marketing solutions that achieve business growth for TrueCar and our dealers. To lead this growing product offering, you must be entrepreneurial with a proactive mindset and have experience in lifestyle marketing.
How you'll contribute to TrueCar's success:
- Develop and implement strategic digital marketing plans aligned to profitability goals for TrueCar and the dealers that incorporate TCMS services in their business marketing footprint.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of TCMS Sales Consultants and TCMS Client Management team members.
- Work cross functionally to explore and define marketing technology solutions, and build business cases and roadmaps to support capital expenditure planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams including dealer sales, dealer service, partnerships, operations, product, etc. to drive business development efforts, expand market presence for TCMS, and identify growth opportunities.
- Identify and forge partnerships with key players in the industry, to innovate new marketing solutions and enhance TCMS product offerings based on market feedback.
- Closely work with sales, service, and partnerships to elevate and reinforce marketing solutions knowledge and expertise.
- Build and nurture relationships to understand client needs and tailor solutions that meet their objectives.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze TCMS financial performance, preparing regular reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and potential new markets for digital marketing solutions.
- Lead, mentor and performance manage a team of highly skilled marketing professionals, guiding them to build strategic plans and effectively support the field team in hitting revenue targets.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to ensure the appropriate marketing technology tools are utilized and adequately deployed to achieve SLA's.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the business unit.
Your Expertise:
- Proven track record of developing and executing long-term digital marketing strategies that result in substantial customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, a strong disposition toward innovation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and trends while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Background in team leadership and development with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, as well as experience in managing budgets and resources for maximum impact.
- Deep understanding of marketing technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Prior lifestyle marketing experience from inception to execution.
Base salary: $225,000 - $260,000
