TrueCare for pets is a 24-hour emergency and specialty animal hospital located in Studio City, CA. We are hiring for Veterinary Receptionist and Doctor’s Assistant Positions. We currently offer specialty and emergency services with board certified specialists in oncology, internal medicine, surgery, and emergency critical care. Afternoon/Evening shifts

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 – 3 years of veterinary reception experience
• Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology
• Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with both staff and clients
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Strong attention to detail and follow through
• Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients
• Ability to handle high stress situations

Essential Job Duties:

• Basic customer service duties: greeting clients, answering telephones, and assisting clients.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Ensuring the front desk, lobby, exam rooms and other client spaces are kept clean at all times.
• Obtaining client information for medical records.
• Sending and responding to digital messages from clients.
• Obtaining and processing payments.

Doctor’s assistants are essentially the doctor's right hand. Creating and presenting estimates, performing call backs, giving financial updates, starting medical records, generating medication labels, filling prescriptions, discharge instructions, etc. This is not a technical position and does not include patient care.

All Doctor's Assistants will be trained in reception and expected to work both positions.

Veterinary experience required. Please do not apply if you have no experience as this position requires a lot of medical knowledge.
