Experienced Wireless Telecom Tower Riggers
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Tower climbing and rope access
- installing and testing telecommunication equipment (antennas, microwave, lines, connectors RRU’s
- Grounding communication equipment
- Working on communications sites on rooftops, self-support towers, and monopoles
- Installing pinwheels, structural steel, cable tray, conduits, antenna mounts, antennas, and transmission lines
- Proper inspection and use of personal safety equipment
- Work safely on towers incorporating 100% tie-off fall protection practices, Ensure that all company equipment is well maintained and in safe operating condition
- PIM testing, line sweeps and ODU testing highly preferable.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of one year experience as a rigger in telecom; familiar and able to identify tower parts, antenna mounts and components
- Experience in installing and aligning antennas, transmission lines, hangers, grounding and communication equipment
- Experience climbing towers, servicing equipment at various heights
- Successful completion of all applicable safety courses and certifications
- Working knowledge in Fall Protection practice and procedures and tower top rescue techniques
- Rope rescue training and re-certification provided.
- Due to safety and the nature of the responsibilities included in this position the ability to speak, read and write English is essential
- Fall arrest & protection certification
- Valid driver license
- Ability to travel across the province
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs unaided
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
