TrueNorth Health Center, located in Santa Rosa, California, is seeking an energetic individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, to serve the role of a full-time Front Office Medical Assistant for our busy Health Center.

TrueNorth Health Center is a residential health education program, offering an alternative approach to the restoration and maintenance of optimal health. We have been established in Sonoma County for nearly 40 years, and operate an inpatient clinic housed in a 40,000 square-foot, 79-bed facility. We offer an integrative medical approach to evaluate and treat a variety of health conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, autoimmune disorders, and dietary issues. Our team of experts includes: Medical Doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Chiropractors, Naturopathic Doctors, Psychologists, and Research Scientists. We specialize in medically supervised fasting and the provision of a health-promoting diet, derived from whole, plant foods, free of added salt, oil and sugar. Participants come to fast and detoxify, lose weight, and make dietary and lifestyle changes.

Job Description:

We have an immediate full-time opening for a Medical Assistant who will be cross trained as a Front Office Administrator at our inpatient health facility. You will be directly assisting the medical team and front office of the Center. This role requires living in Sonoma County.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting patient rounds with doctors and taking vitals and recording data in our electronic medical record system.
• Supporting with scheduling blood draws, making appointments, and answering patient questions.
• Meeting and greeting patients
• Answering phones and emails
• Updating medical records
• Scheduling Appointment
• Data entry
• Retail sales
• Any other duties as assigned

Salary:

• $25.00 per hour
• PTO plan providing 1 hour per 30 hours worked, and possibility to accumulate hours and roll-over.
• Wholesome vegan meals, free of added salt, oil and sugar, served in our dining hall.
