POSITION: Business Systems Analyst
SHIFT: Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (OT as needed)

TrueNorth Steel is now hiring for our Business Systems Analyst position! This position will be responsible for leading projects relating to our key business application systems and train users to optimize capabilities with business needs maximizing company profitability.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Systems Analysts primary responsibility will be to lead projects relating to our key business application systems and train users to optimize capabilities with business needs maximizing company profitability. This position will lead functional teams to implement improvements, updates, standardize, develop best business practice and processes across all of the organization. This position will work directly with IT, Finance, Operations and Sales to carry out the strategic business initiatives identified by leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations
- Initiate, lead, and manage Infor CRM and Syteline/CSI-related projects and provide day to day support to users
- Lead Functional Teams to develop new business processes
- Work with functional teams to document existing and new business processes
- Develop training materials for our applications and train users
- Take the lead in answering user helpdesk ticket requests relating to application functionality questions
- Gather and document application enhancement requests (i.e. new report requests, custom forms, minor modifications, etc.) and route them for approval before work begins by IT group.
- Work with the Information Technology group to execute and implement ERP implementations, upgrades, process improvements and integrations with other systems.
- Coordinate testing of applications with Functional Teams to ensure successful updates.
- Define business, financial, and operations requirements and system goals working with decision makers, end users, and consultants.
- Implement new or improved reporting, processes, and/or functions.
- Collaborate with system users to analyze business requirements and provide proposed documented solutions and alternatives to meet business and user needs.
- Coordinate and work closely with users and designated external resources to further business objectives and resolve issues.
- Make recommendations on internal training needed from application vendors
- Manage the MOC (Management of Change) process for Major Strategic Business Initiatives relating to Core ERP and CRM projects.
- Provide Syteline analysis for the business that leads to module and overall system improvements
- Provide input and business case justifications with cost/benefit analyses for initiatives in strategic planning
- 25% travel required between locations
- Prompt and dependable attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Working knowledge of CRM
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Proven success in leading a team in the implementation of new modules and functionality
- Knowledge of sales and operations processes
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills in researching and solving technical problems related to ERP systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and/or Business Administration or related field
- 5-7 years of ERP experience and 2-5 years CRM experience
- Well Versed (‘Super-User’ Level) experience with Syteline/CSI-Infor ERP Systems
- Previous systems database administration experience preferred
- Strong Project Management experience
