Job Description
We are looking to bring on a new Metal Inspector for our client who is located in Kent, WA. This position will primarily be tasked with performing hardness testing on various metal alloys and documenting results. This will primarily be a job that will be performed alone but there are times when you will need to communicate with coworkers or a lead to determine what is a priority. This is a temp-to-hire position.
Compensation: $20/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm, OT as needed
Location: Kent, WA
Responsibilities:
Read, follow, and complete shop travelers (work order) accurately
Prepare and test customer products as specified by shop travelers or governing specification
Document and certify test results as to acceptability as required by shop travelers
Performing Rockwell hardness test and documenting results
Package and/or prepare customer products for the next operation
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Attendance, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
Basic computer skills, basic math/calculations, and email communications.
Ability to follow verbal and visual instructions and complete routine tasks that may be repetitive in nature
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to lift/carry/push/pull 50 lbs regularly
Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills.
