Job Description:

Position Overview: The SAP Senior Director of Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering and business systems teams, focusing on inventory planning, merchandising, supply chain, inventory management, and transportation logistics. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in SAP, retail merchandising, and supply chain management to drive efficiency and innovation in our business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

• Define and implement strategies for engineering and business systems to enhance retail merchandising, supply chain, inventory management, and transportation logistics.

• Collaborate with senior management to align technology initiatives with business goals.

• Utilize SAP Inventory Management, SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM), SAP Retail Merchandising, and SAP Transportation Management to drive strategic initiatives.

• Engineering and Product Management:

• Lead cross-functional product and engineering teams to gather and analyze business requirements.

• Conduct gap analysis between current processes and desired outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.

• Design and deliver innovative solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.

• Implement and manage SAP ERP and MercuryGate TMS for streamlined operations.

• Project Management:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

• Team Development:

• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers, architects, and product managers.

• Foster a collaborative and dynamic team environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.

• Technology Integration:

• Ensure seamless integration of SAP solutions with existing systems to enhance business operations.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP and related technologies to implement best practices.

• Customer Satisfaction:

• Ensure that solutions meet the needs of internal stakeholders and contribute to improved customer satisfaction.

• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.

• Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a focus on SAP and business systems.

• Extensive experience in retail merchandising, supply chain, inventory management, and transportation logistics.

• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects successfully.

• Skills:

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proficient in SAP Inventory Management, SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM), SAP Retail Merchandising, SAP Transportation Management, MercuryGate TMS, and SAP ERP.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid environment.

• Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in SAP and project management are a plus.
