Purpose:
Operate vehicles to safely transport equipment for the dealership. During delivery, this person may instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
Transport equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick up new equipment from a supplier.
Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed.
Maintains records of pickup and deliveries as directed by TRULAND Equipment and obtains any necessary signatures and receipts.
Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policy as requested by TRULAND
Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required.
Maintain a regular inspection of the assigned equipment and immediately report anything on the equipment in need of repair.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:
3 years' experience as semi-trailer truck operator.
Experience in hauling irregular and oversized loads.
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of proper load securement techniques.
Valid CDL Class driver's license required.
Driving record that meets insurance company parameters.
Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
