Who

Truleo is hiring for a Vice President of Data Science who will employ their expertise in data and analytics to generate meaningful insights for product, service, and operational decisions. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of data and business methodologies that can be leveraged for tangible business outcomes and value. You will also be tasked with helping us nurture a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a member of Truleo’s executive management team, providing strategic technical vision and ensuring successful execution of data-driven strategies and initiatives.
• Build, lead, and mentor a brilliant, high-performing data and analytics team who continuously achieves accurate and timely project and resource fulfillment.
• Employ leadership expertise to develop and align a comprehensive data strategy with business objectives, and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure its integration into decision-making processes.
• Serve as an SME in business intel and data strategy who thoroughly understands the specific customer needs and opportunities that would best underpin data-related enhancements to Truelo products and services.
• Define and measure KPIs to assess the impact of data initiatives on operational and financial outcomes, and to present recommendations for improvement and growth.
• Intentionally evaluate and implement leading tools and technologies that support the collection and analysis of data as well as the efficiency and scalability of their infrastructures.
• Demonstrate modeling expertise in the latest advanced NLP techniques.

Who You Are

• You have a bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, analytics, mathematics, economics, or a related field.
• You have a minimum of 8 years of experience building and leading cross-functional data teams in the successful pursuit of project and business objectives.
• You have demonstrated thought leadership in an analytics environment.
• You have extensive experience in building scalable data models in Python, R, and other essential data science tools and languages.
• You have hands-on experience with leveraging cloud services such as Azure and AWS to model and manipulate data.
• You have a strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization.
• You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
