Salary based on experience and educational level on OAPSE Salary Schedule
- Must hold valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit or be able to obtain one
- Experience in working with students with Autism or behavioral disorders (BT/RBT is preferred)
- Must be able to support the student in learning social skills, transitioning between activities or locations, staying on task, completing daily living skills, and/or reducing challenging behavior as outlined in the IEP and/or BIP
- Must be willing and able to become certified in non-violent crisis prevention and intervention (CPI)
- Must be willing to work independently to support the daily instructional and medically related needs of a special needs student one-on-one, as required
- Must be willing to work collaboratively with teachers to provide support services to students
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents
- Must have the full support of the Building Principal, Director/Assistant Director of Special Education, and Assistant Superintendent
