What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Instrumental Music-Strings position at TrulyHired?
The Arlington Public Schools is seeking a instrumental (Strings) teacher who has experience working with elementary age-children to provide group instrumental music instruction to students in grades 3-5 during the regular school day (AM) in the following areas: violin, viola, cello and bass.
Requirements: Experience teaching elementary-age children is required.
The successful candidates will demonstrate expertise on their instruments and a strong background in and knowledge of materials, methods, and the pedagogy associated with their instruments. Experience teaching elementary students in a large group setting is essential. Successful candidates will exhibit dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and engage elementary-age children, and maintain and enhance enthusiastic participation in music making in a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment.
Bachelor's degree in applied music or music education is required.
MA DESE licensure is preferred.
