ELL Teacher

The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, a demanding curriculum charter school, seeks to hire committed, skilled, and inspiring educators. AMSA is committed to preparing all students to succeed in college and 21st-century careers. Located in Marlborough, MA, AMSA includes 6th through 12th grade classes. The Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School is currently accepting applications for a full-time ELL Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Job Responsibilities: Main Teaching Responsibilities: • Provides direct ESL instruction in accordance with the latest WIDA and AMSA Standards. • Creates and revises core ELL curriculum. • Tracks student success through progress monitoring and reports. • Communicates with students' families on a regular basis. • Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of ELL students across ELD levels. • Provides support to classroom teachers through a hybrid push-in model. • Collaborates and consults with classroom teachers to create and implement SEI • Administers necessary tests and screeners (ACCESS and Screener). Knowledge and Qualifications: • Possesses a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in English as a Second Language (ESL) • Possesses an SEI Endorsement • Bachelors or higher academic degree from an accredited college or university • Current authorization to work in the United States. Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
