Under general supervision, the math tutors will implement a supplemental instructional program in Grade 8 Math and High School Math 1.
Duties:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in Grade 8 Math and H.S. Math 1.
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop personalized tutoring plans.
- Help students understand and apply concepts through interactive teaching methods.
- Assist students in completing assignments and preparing for exams.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents or guardians.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational trends in relevant subjects.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the subjects being tutored.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Patience and empathy when working with students of different ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address students' academic challenges.
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs.
- Previous experience in higher education teaching or adult education is a plus.
