Job Summary
Full-time job opportunity working with a great maintenance team and school district. The Plumber is a journey-level trades class that performs skilled plumbing duties including the repair of heating, water, natural gas and drainage systems and the construction, installation, repair and modification of sprinkler systems at San Dieguito Union High School District sites. Three years of job-related experience performing plumbing and irrigation tasks is required.

Valid California Class C driver license CA DMV driver report - must be dated no more than 30 days prior to submitting the application for employment.

Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in an examination process. The vacancy is open until filled.
Exam components may consist of Multiple Choice exam, 20% weight, Performance Exam, 30% weight and QAI, 50% weight.
The competitive basis for this recruitment is Open/Promotional - Dual Certification. Candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months.
If a candidate has taken the multiple choice and/or performance test for this San Dieguito Union High School District job title or similar job title within the past two years, candidate may be able to transfer the scores to this recruitment. The exam must be sufficiently similar, as determined by the Director, Classified Personnel. Prior to the application deadline, a request to transfer score(s) should be e-mailed to: barbara.bass@sduhsd.net. Transferring of exam scores does not apply to the Qualifications Appraisal Interview.
Veterans may be eligible for preference points on entrance examinations ("entrance" is defined as candidates who are not current employees of the District). Please attach a copy of your DD214 to your application.
