Quality Control Inspector
Trumbo, Inc., is a family owned ASME code fabrication shop that has been in business continually since 1949. We have grown from a small one-man welding shop to an 8-acre campus that houses two production shops and a machine shop. We also provide field services to include process piping, scheduled shutdowns, and boiler repair/maintenance/rentals. Trumbo, Inc. is currently looking to fill the position of Quality Control Inspector.

Principle Accountabilities:
· Performs visual inspection of assemblies and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
· Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
· Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
· Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
· Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels.
· Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
· Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
· Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.
· Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
· Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
· Interface with peers, engineers, and Regulatory auditors.
· Record inspection results to ensure proper segregation of accepted and rejected products.
Position Requirements:
· The ability to apply skills in a manner to ensure proper decisions for acceptance or rejection of goods
· Ability to use good communication skills both oral and written
· Basic computer skills
· Use inspection instrumentation to collect and record data
· Ability to utilize basic inspection equipment, basic interpretation of mechanical drawings, and high school math.
· Proactively and cooperatively communicate with peers and management to ensure awareness of progress and issues
· Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
· Job demands include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing and/or crawling as appropriate.

Education and Experience:
· 2 years related experience with ASME Section VIII Division 1 and blueprint reading
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· AA in a technical field preferred
· 2 years’ experience in a regulated environment preferred
· QC Inspection: 2 years (Required)
