Trust Consulting Services is looking to hire an Unarmed Security Guard to support the Prince Georges County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS). The Unarmed Security Guard shall maintain a safe and secure environment for the employees and visitors of the PGCMLS grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Periodically patrolling the library interior, while interacting with the public
- Periodically patrolling the parking area; to include enforcing all parking restrictions Immediately responding to any disturbances
- Report any security violations to the Librarian-in-Charge before responding to violations (unless it is an emergency situation)
- Provide security for staff requesting assistance during confrontational situations
- Respond appropriately to any identified safety issues
- Maintain a daily duty log, noting all activities and incidents that occurred during each shift
- Employees must adhere to the Company Handbook, Client, and Prince George’s County Government behavioral standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Security Guard in the State of Maryland. (preferred)
- Must possess a valid Maryland Driver's License or Maryland Non-Driver’s ID
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent
- Must have strong communication skills
- Be proficient in the English language (i.e. read, write, speak)
- Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance while on duty.
- Must have the ability to write incident reports and statements
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to complete a background check
- Must be approved to work in the United States
