Description
TruStile Doors, the leading national manufacturer of architectural doors for the high-end residential and commercial segments, is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator for its Denver, CO operation. This position will work closely with manufacturing to ensure procedures are documented and followed throughout the process to achieve quality standards. The qualified individual will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, can be self-directed and has attention to detail. The position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor.
What you will do:
· Audit adherence to documented work instructions.
· Audit production output against documented standards.
· Record audit results to a database and report on and analyze results.
· Maintain and update Work Instructions and Product Standards with input from Engineering
· Work closely with process trainers, plant supervision, and engineering on identified variances from processes or product standards.
· Inspect all warranty doors prior to packaging.
· Provide feedback or improvement ideas to product and process engineering.
· Participate in process design improvements as required.
· Train new hires and current employees
· Provide re-training to improve performance of employees not meeting required standards.
· Participate in process design improvements.
· Maintain a training and skill matrix of all employees
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in an audit or review capacity
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use measurement tools including calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.
- Attention to detail
- Skilled with Microsoft Office applications
- Effective communicator and comfortable interacting with co-workers
- ISO Experience a plus
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Outgoing personality, people person, able to communicate the good and bad
- Must be able to walk the facility multiple times per shift, anywhere from 3-7 miles a day
- The ability to lift heavy objects at times
