Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing products and/or performing service and/or energy testing work on installed products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conducts daily documented inspection of vehicle, power tools, ladders, scaffold, fire extinguisher, and any other work related equipment.
- Reviews work order and loads required ladders and scaffolds onto truck.
- Ensures truck has any product, tools, or equipment needed to properly complete the product installations scheduled for the day.
- Completes or signs off on Material Load In/Load Out.
- Conducts job site safety pre-inspection.
- Collects payment on COD jobs.
- Installs product per work order, manufacturer, quality and safety guidelines.
- Completes post-installation quality check and verifies product installation meets inspection codes.
- Responsible for performing repairs and warranty work on installed products.
- Performs warehouse related duties as necessary.
- Any other duty, task or responsibility as assigned.
REQUIRED:
- Minimum experience: 1-3 years trade experience.
- Required Industry Experience: Insulation or related construction industry experience preferred.
- Clear Post Offer Drug Screen.
THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, unit of measure, volume and area).
- Able to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in Office Software like word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
- Knowledgeable of ERP applications (preferably Oracle).
- Requires self-management and project management ability.
