Facility Maintenance Technician

• Deep knowledge and experience in machinery installation.
• Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical problems in machinery and equipment. This includes issues related to wiring, circuits, switches, and control panels
• Removing old equipment and installing new machines.
• Deep knowledge of blueprint readings of electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
• Conduct maintenance of electrical systems
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
• Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
• Maintain spare parts and inventory
• Place POs and discuss technical requirements with vendors for any type of consumable related to facility or machinery.
• Ensure that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
• Conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits
• Establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols
• Setting and tracking maintenance KPIs playing an active role in helping the organization setup and execute preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance or any other preferred maintenance program.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Knowledge of EPA and OSHA guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Ability to operate lifting devices and forklifts.
