JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for skilled GREETERS to join the Sunnyside team! The starting rate is $16.00/hr plus tips (The combined rate is ~$20-$23/hour). We are especially looking for candidates with full time and weekend availability. Must be available to work holidays. Three months of guaranteed summertime availability is preferred. Other scheduling availability is subject to review upon application. Post-season work is not guaranteed and will be reviewed based on performance at the end of the season.
No previous work or restaurant experience is required! This is an entry-level position with opportunity to learn and advance into other service roles.

POSITION SUMMARY
Provide the highest level of quality and service to our guests. Act as the first point of contact for guests as they arrive at the restaurant and assist them with their dining arrangements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Assist guests in making reservations as they call or arrive at the restaurant utilizing the reservation book or Open Table reservation system.
- Assist Servers in making table assignments for guests based on reservation size, time, and restaurant availability according to restaurant systems (reservation book or Open Table).
- Follow T S protocol and inform manager on duty for all noted guest allergies.
- Answer questions regarding restaurant hours of operation, menu items, and assist guests with any other requests as needed.
- Seat guests correctly at assigned table and provide them with necessary supplies such as menus, silverware, high chairs etc.
- Answer incoming telephone calls within 3 rings in a friendly and professional manner.
- Be able to multi-task between assisting guests as they arrive, answering the telephone, and assisting co-workers.
- Effectively organize and utilize restaurant reservation wait sheet.
- Operate the electronic pager system according to wait sheet and table availability.
- Learn each Server’s name and corresponding section each shift and effectively rotate seating based on table availability.
- Ability to utilize restaurant systems to predict and accurately quote wait times to guests.
- Perform restroom checks to ensure they are clean and adequately stocked.
- Collect and clean each menu as well as clean and restock the Greeter work stations.
- Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding attendance. • Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury.
- Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- US Work Authorization Required. We use E-Verify to confirm Employment Eligibility Verification.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Experience: No previous experience required, however it is preferred.
- Computer Skills: None required; however, experience with Point of Sale System a plus.
- California Food Handler Certificate - Must be obtained within 30 days from hire date. Training provided if applicant does not have a valid California Food Handler Certificate.
- Certificates & Licenses: Must take and pass all training tests 90% or higher.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
