Production scheduler

Position Summary : The primary function of this position is to ensure on time creation of production injection schedules maximizing production capacity.

Monitor production progress to ensure all orders are made to meet customer expectations. Track build out progress. Monitor finished goods inventory to achieve desired levels.

Qualifications : (knowledge, skills, and abilities) :

• Experience in Production Planning and Manufacturing Process : Utilize production workflows, resource allocation, manufacturing principles
• Time Management : Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and ensure progress
• Data Analysis : Interpret data to determine resource requirements and feasibility of production plans.
• Inventory Management : Coordinate with PUR and MFG to ensure needed resources to minimize disruptions
• Communication : Strong communication skills are crucial for coordinating schedules and ensuring on-time delivery
• Problem-Solving : Effectively address production challenges, adapt to changes and find solutions
• Attention to Detail : Develop production schedules and long-term plans with precision and accuracy
• ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Knowledge : Familiarity with ERP functions and software used for production planning
• Quality Standards : Understand and adhere to quality control requirements

Primary Position Responsibilities :

• Create production schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet delivery deadlines
• Ensure maximum production capacity is utilized to minimize overtime
• Monitor inventory to ensure
• Track build out progress and control obsolete costs to meet plan.
• Establish recovery plans to meet customer requirements
• Monitor inventory levels to achieve inventory turns
• Provide production schedules to assembly lines
• Evaluate PPC workload and staffing requirements
• Minimize expedite costs
• Capacity planning to assess short-term and long-term needs
• Demand forecasting needed to analyze demand patterns and adjust production plans accordingly
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, procurement, manufacturing support and logistics) to ensure operations

Essential Job Requirements :

• 1 years experience in similar capacity
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be able to maintain confidential information
• Proficient skill in Microsoft Office products
• Technical proficiency in using material requirements planning and scheduling software / tools
• Knowledge of production process and quality control
