Job DescriptionPerforms comprehensive support services at the office, department, or division level. Executes administrative duties under direct supervision; in the absence of the supervisor, acts with some authority on office management functions and makes limited policy interpretations and decisions requiring a knowledge of the supervisor's viewpoint relative to office functions with other units. Work requires frequent contact with people working outside the organization or at high levels within the organization.Essential Functions
- Assist in the development and update of policies and procedures.
- Assist in compiling data for preparing routine and special reports.
- Prepare student files.
- Assist CSME Coordinator in planning and implementation of program activities.
- Assist with supervision of MAARS participants.
- Maintains complex agency records of an official and confidential nature; modifies and secures records by supplementing and correcting in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepares and edits correspondence and reports of a highly confidential and technical nature.
- Operates mainframe or personal computer, with the ability to apply different word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphics programs.
- May assist in orientation and training of personnel on records procedures and retention.
- May operate a state vehicle in the performance of duties.
- May act as receptionist or telephone switchboard operator when not performing other duties.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- Associate's Degree plus one year related experience; OR
- Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent, plus six years related experience
- Related college-level courses or equivalent experience and attainment are preferred.
- Should have experience with mainframe or personal computer utility programs, including graphics.
