Label Inspector
LOCATION: Westview (Between Opa-Locka and Miami Gardens), Miami
TYPE: In Office
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an hour for lunch.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Temp to Perm
PAY RATE: $18.50/h
DESCRIPTION:
In the role of Quality Labeling Inspector, you will ensure the quality of packaging, inspect package and box labels, closely monitor entry dates for respective department transfers, and conduct inventory counting. The company is a leader in tissue handling, medical research, and solutions for patients who have suffered from burns or wounds requiring tissue donation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepare the QC Labeling areas as per SOPs.
Perform a final inspection of products for proper specifications, label accuracy, and compliance with regulations and quality requirements.
Combine components for final products.
Apply labels to the final product and add package inserts, boxes, etc.
Maintain accurate inventory of post-processing, and quarantine products (frozen and room temperature).
Perform disposition of nonconforming products as directed.
Coordinate and stage products for sterilization.
Monitor freezers and respond to alarms.
Support nonconformance investigations, when applicable.
Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to storage, handling, labeling, and inspections of tissue.
Maintain effective communication with management to address issues promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Associate degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of relevant experience.
Able to stand for an extended period.
Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance.
Infrequently lift, push, pull, and carry boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
Walk, squat, and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
