DESCRIPTION:
Join our dynamic team at a diverse, multi-practice commercial law firm with international affiliates and offices across the US as an Accounting Manager in charge overseen the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. you will manage accounting requirements, develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, oversee financial reporting, and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee and support department operations and staff in Florida and the Northeast to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Monitor unapplied and trust balances, as well as unbilled WIP.
- Oversee the monthly bank reconciliations process for operating and trust accounts.
- Ensure timely preparation of billing and collections statements.
- Process and pay all expense reports on time.
- Communicate with bank officials regarding ACH payments, wire transfers notifications, bank account status, etc.
- Assist in training or coordinating training for new hires in the Accounting Department.
- Provide management with regular status reports regarding daily balances and transactions.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting combined with five or more years of related experience or training in accounting procedures, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Experience interpreting financial statements, recording journal entries, and performing higher-level calculations for budgets, statistical analysis, and probability statements.
- Proficiency in Aderant Expert or similar legal software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
