We’re now adding a Sanitation Supervisor to our team at Tuffy’s Pet Foods. A successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the crew when the manager is not available, mixing chemical, and completing regulatory paperwork. Duties will also include but not limited to cleaning of all area of the plant. To complete general housekeeping and sanitation processing areas. The Opportunity
As the Sanitation supervisor, you will work closely with the Tuffy’s Pet Foods leadership team to create an overall safety culture that aligns with KLN Family Brands objectives & values.
The responsibilities of the position are listed below.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise/organize external cleaning crew
- Cleaning of all processing equipment and building structure according to sanitation standard operating procedures
- Operating equipment
- Assembling and dis-assembling of equipment
- Perform chemical concentration testing
- Complete sanitation documents
- Train new employees
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Self-motivation and willingness to get along with others
- Learning, memorizing and executing a sequence of procedures
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and lifts at various heights
- Must wear safety harnesses in required areas at required heights
- Good hand – eye coordination
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Good judgment and reasoning abilities
- Ability to drive forklift and pass certification exam
- Knowledge of chemicals
- Basic computer skills and General mathematical ability
- Good documentation skills
- Experience or training 3 months
- 2 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus
Salary : $49,000 - $62,000
