Position Summary
The Voice & Mobile Architect is an integral component of a team supporting a Federal client’s organizational and digital transformation. The Voice & Mobile Architect job is a mid-level to senior role for someone with at least 7 years of experience in the field including a minimum of 5 years supporting large scale (Enterprise level) Network Voice and Mobile product deployments. We are looking for an Architect with an entrepreneurial spirit to develop industry-leading products that drive our clients’ digital businesses as well as function as the conduit between customer success and our delivery team to prioritize roadmap features and tackle urgent client issues. The Architect will participate and lead technical reviews and will support deployment and maintenance of existing and new Infrastructure used to deliver voice services across the WAN and LAN. You must be able to assist in after-hours work as required in support of system implementations.
Core Competencies
  • 7 years direct work experience in support, implementation, and design of telephony, wireless, and or IP voice systems. This experience should also include supervising staff and developing strategies to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial and progressive thought leader, with proven experience developing and or supporting strategic and operational capabilities around virtual (public and/or private) environments.
  • Proficient in the design, development, delivery, documentation, and creation of IT modernization solutions.

  • Motivated in fulfilling demanding, challenging and varied tasks.
  • Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Framework.
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product development life cycle.
  • Previous Federal consulting experience preferred, but not required.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability to present technical ideas and high-level concepts and solutions to team members with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
  • Experience administering and configuring mobile devices for enterprise users and BYOD
  • Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server-side systems.
  • Experience managing enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform(s) such as AirWatch, MaaS 360, AWS for iOS / Android environments by installing, deploying, updating, and monitoring App usage on deployed mobile devices
  • Must be able to define architecture and solutions for data, voice, and wireless services
  • Troubleshooting experience with WAN hardware, software, and circuit connectivity problems; coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and vendors.
  • Able to research and develop wireless technologies and solutions for use in customer premise Wi-Fi equipment deployed in carrier networks
  • Participate in planned site surveys to document and assess existing voice system, inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) capabilities and capacity needed to support planned voice solutions.
  • Work with Stakeholders to clearly define the business requirements as it pertains to voice products and services.
  • Thorough knowledge and or experience with varying voice protocols and capabilities, such as VoIP, SIP, TDM, UCS, H.323, Videoconferencing, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Wireless and Network protocols and services, such as: Wi-fi, TCP/IP, MPLS, SNMP, Syslog, QoS, Routing, etc.
  • Working knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, RRM/SON, 802.xx, CORE network functionalities.
  • Ability to collaborate with product owners, vendors, and management to determine and manage functional and on-functional software requirements for Wireless technology Initiative efforts.
  • Manage implementation projects involving existing and new technical solutions, which include planning, scheduling, and coordinating various aspects of the project.
  • Provide Voice/Mobile SME technical support and troubleshooting to users, as required.
  • Stay abreast of and track Industry trends and best practices.
  • Interface directly with internal and external clients/vendors and serve as primary technical point-of-contact for Voice and Mobile services.
  • Responsible for delivering finished product (including documentation, adequate testing, appropriate functional and performance capabilities).
  • Able to develop a long-term technology evolution roadmap (3-5 years) articulating the strategic decision points, technology evolution plan and recommendations about technology and network infrastructure investments.
Education
University degree or college diploma in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, business-related field, or equivalent required.
Cisco Voice Certifications (CCNA or CCNP Voice) a plus
