Back End Developer

Responsibilities:

Partner with the EDI & Integrations team and subject matter experts to ensure custom solutions are meeting the project outcomes and the identified needs of the business;

• Writing high-quality code to program complete applications on schedule

• Design creative prototypes according to specifications

• Troubleshoot and debug applications

• Analyze existing customizations in reference to upgraded application capabilities

• Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

• Integrating data from various back-end services and databases

• Create and maintain software documentation

• Manage the code in the code library

• Responsible for coordinating the effort required to implement the developed solution

Partner with the quality assurance team members to ensure that the test plan and test cases validate the expected outcomes and requirements

• Perform unit and integration testing before launch

• Conduct functional and non-functional testing

• Responsible for managing/participating in and contributing to test plan and test script development.

• Responsible for managing/participating in transition to operations work and deliverables.

Required Technical Skills:

• Oracle and PL/SQL script writing and Database Development

• Familiar with Spring Boot framework & Microservices architecture

• Database design and development using Oracle;

• Development platforms/technologies: Java, Excel, XML, AWS

• Web development frameworks Web services, web form;

• Apache Camel for data integration

• Experience with programming development tools and source controls systems (SQL Developer, Eclipse, Maven, GIT);

• Familiar with the configuration and support of Energy Components implementations

• Experience in the customization of Health Plan data using PL/SQL coding.

• Health care, non-profit care, health plan EDI, claims systems

• Working experience with Linux would be an asset

Qualifications:

• Must be legally entitled to work in the USA

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in related field of study

• Minimum 5 years of PL/SQL & Java development experience
