The Program Director over St. George Services provides oversight to programs #93, the Women’s Supervised Apartments, #94, Women’s Group Home, #95, Supported Living, Family Support, and Respite, #97, 24 West Group Home, #98, Red Hills Art Program, and #99, Tabernacle Day Program. They will also be a part of TURN’s Management Team. They will supervise the Coordinator’s directly over each of these programs.
The Director of Program Services facilitates the flow of information and ideas through the agency, defines the values and purpose of the agency, linking its community-based programs to administrative support groups. Serves as a resource for multiple programs and assists Coordinators and staff to deliver quality services to TURN individuals. Monitors staff development, problem solving, identification of resources. Assists with personnel issues, implementation PCSP and BSP processes, program record reviews. Works with program Consultants and the human rights committee. Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges and evaluates individual funding levels. Facilitates communication with families, State agencies and State personnel. Assists programs to prepare for audits, surveys, and licensing inspections. Assists programs to meet TURN and DHS/DSPD policies and standards. Monitors care of program facilities, equipment, and program indicators.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Has a minimum of two years experience as a Program Coordinator within TURN, knowledge of current trends and philosophies of program methodology, proven leadership, ability to facilitate team-work, and to work successfully with peers, Direct Support Staff, individuals, parents and advocates, DSPD personnel, and other professionals. Has problem solving skills, understanding of the documentation processes and practices within TURN, effective verbal and written skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage a diversity of assignments. Proficiency in word processing; working knowledge of Therap. Regular attendance, adherence to authorized schedule, and satisfactory performance of job responsibilities are essential functions of this position.
